And then the medicine cats helped with others got sick or hurt. Momma and the others in the nursery took care of the kits, and Ravenmask told really good stories. Apprentices were supposed to learn, and then adult cats were warriors! But some of the warriors had specific jobs.
In the wake of the flood, and due to her sensitivity to the sun, there was one job in particular Branchkit was interested in learning more about: being a Tunneler.

Today's target was Whisperpaw - as soon as the apprentice got back from training, Branchkit padded closer, tilting her head and watching quietly, wondering if the apprentice would want to speak or not.
