Hello and welcome to WindClan's MCA Interest Check !

With Dimmingsun becoming more and more familiar with his duties, and with his and Meadowpaw's relationship getting stronger, there is little reason to bury the thoughts he has been having: what if WindClan received a new set of skillful paws? The more the merrier, after all, and the Clan is only now starting to get back on their feet after the devastating flood that had temporarily stripped them of their home. The tension rising further between all five Clans is a threat that looms over their borders—and even if the inevitable cannot be avoided, the tough cats on the moor may as well prepare.​

RULES

Ensure that you have read and familiarized yourself with the High Position Rules & Expectations.
Applicants who have already been posting in the WindClan board are preferred. Having an existing post count before the posting of this Interest Check tells me that you are interested in the Clan as a whole.
Anyone is free to try out, though Dimmingsun will prefer younger cats, around 6-15 moons old, due to how much easier it is to teach that way.
Feel free to yap as much or as little in your post as you'd like. Word count or amount of ideas are not going to be the deciding factor, but rather the entire character and their player.
Please refrain from public gossip about those who have tried out and the potential winner.

EXPECTATIONS

Remaining active as a HP past your promotion, as we all as engaging with the team and the rest of the site, is a must.
I LOVE to collaborate with the rest of the HP team about pretty much anything, so while being active 24/7 is certainly not something I'd enforce, I do expect to be able to bounce ideas off with you and work on future projects with you in a timely manner!
This new medicine cat apprentice will learn from both Meadowpaw (Scarlet) and Dimmingsun (Karmen), essentially giving them two mentors. Make sure that's okay with you!

CHARACTER NAME: @NAMELESS / PRAIRIEKIT

LENGTH OF TERM: Long Preferred! Tentatively open to short-term, though I doubt that they would voluntarily step down ;]

IC REASONS FOR APPLYING:
Nameless is an outsider, a kit whose youth has been snuffed by terrible circumstances, and I want them to have a chance to find themself in WindClan. I think being appointed as MCA could be a very fun way for that arc to play out, especially with Dimmungsun having been an outsider himself! Maybe their arrival was fate, if you want to get superstitious with it...
My planned arc for nameless involves slowly learning to open up and find the gentleness and whimsy that they have not been allowed to express. A path of healing, not violence, would be well-suited for for that, and they would take to it well. They are a sharp-minded and kind kit beneath their guarded exterior.
Nameless has a strange view on death and faith. They were raised in a cult as a sacrifice, and as such they associate faith with violence. Becoming medicine cat would throw their whole worldview into question, but they would likely embrace this kinder view of devoutness. However, they can never quite shake their old ways... They will struggle to view death as a truly negative thing, even as they fear it, which is an odd view for one meant to save lives. Still, it may make them more equipped to handle their first failure to save someone, and more open to comforting those who cannot be saved. For a short term MCA plot, my main idea for demotion would be them mercy killing someone who still had a chance to live and getting demoted (or even exiled) for it. They are maybe a little too accepting of death...

OOC REASONS FOR APPLYING:
Nameless is a brand new character but I have been considering making them my second main alongside Sunkit :3 They're a port of the character I returned to roleplay with years ago so they hold a special place in my heart, and I plan to keep them around for a long while yet. Completely understandable if my lack of posts is a deterrent though! Just wanted to throw my hat in the ring haha.
I think medicine cats are fun as hell and would love to explore it with nameless! I have played MCA & deputy positions on another site, though they were all cut pretty short so I would love a chance to play an HP on Purrgatory's much more relaxed atmosphere :']

NOTES?: They have a name picked out but not yet a plot for naming! So if they get picked then Dimming/Meadow could potentially name them if u want :3 If they aren't already named by then, hehe...

IC REASONS FOR APPLYING:
- Yewkit is generally on the quieter side, afraid of becoming an apprentice, though I would not be opposed to her having experienced being a regular apprentice a bit as well.
- After finding out about Ivorystorm/Plague's past, she will be even more terrified of becoming a warrior, learning to fight and what not, in fear of becoming like her mother - not opposed to killing.
- Due to Ivory's ways of raising her kits, Yewkit is less likely to be put off by injuries/blood/etc, as she is raised to take care of herself without relying on others - that includes the hard lessons too
- she's already friends with Meadowpaw and friendly with Dimmingsun, having helped them during the flooding and gotten to know them over time (this is mainly due to me getting to know the mc players around the same time as i made her as a character, and rp-ing with them, but it works :) )

OOC REASONS FOR APPLYING:
- Yewkit is definitely one of my favorite, if not favorite, characters to write and definitely my WindClan main
- i am definitely intrigued by playing a medicine cat, i've always loved learning and memorising the plants as a kid when i read the books
- i am super interested in helping out with organisation and events too, shall it be required!! im already pretty active in the discord i would say and have organised some mini event threads with folks, so im definitely up for trying it out on a bigger scale

NOTES?:
- would definitely be StarClan alligned! - im thinking the first time she encounters starclan, she will finally feel at peace and okay and will slowly start to realise this is how she's meant to feel, thus leading to her healing
- open to any kind of plots, i haven't thought about it too much :o
- she hasn't had too many interactions outside her closed circle of acquaintances, but once an apprentice i definitely plan on her getting to know others more! regardless of if she gets picked or not :)
