hewwo! I'm Danielle (or Dani) [it's in my discord bio, so duhfduihsfi] I go by Asteiri or Asti p much everywhere online. I've been roleplaying since I was a wee kiddo, started on a Pokémon roleplay where I met a lot of people that I'm still friends with to this day (and yes, eighteen years later we are still roleplaying together). I've done a variety of genres to fit my interests, but I tend to loop back to OC stuff (I have one OC I adore rn, and I'm AUing her to hell and back with a friend), Pokémon, Digimon, and Warriors.
I have... three degrees... that I'm doing nothing with. (I use my English degree to roleplay it's okay [sorry mom]). I also moderate two Pokémon forums (sorry mom). I ALSO met my boyfriend on Discord (sorry mom), AND moved across Canada to be with him (x2 sorry mom). I have two dogs I love very much they are my sons, I also rescued a literal garbage dump kitten and he's my actual baby? I bottle-fed him, it's like giving birth or something. My three boys are Maverick (3-year-old goldendoodle), Goose (they claim Bichon Shih Tzu, but I think he's just a Shih Tzu. He'll be two in October), and Slater (my dumpster kitten, he's a long haired grey tabby... 16ish weeks).

Eek, so I like a lot of things, roleplaying being one of the biggest ones. I'm still in a lot of forum roleplays like this but me and some of my long term online friends have moved our old Pokémon roleplay to discord, some of my close friends and I also roleplay on discord. I play quite a few videogames, but I have an unhealthy attachment surrounding Skyrim and the rest of the Elder Scrolls franchise, please do not ask me about lore unless you are ready for a LONG conversation. I am also Pokémon Mystery Dungeon's strongest soldier, and I cry every day that we don't get a new PMD. I'm playing Expedition 33 right now and it's amazing.

MUSIC. I LOVE MUSIC. I don't play any instruments, but I have built my music taste BRICK BY BRICK since I was teen years old and discovered AMVs. This is my Last.fm if you want to see if we have music in common. To make it more simple though, I like metal, nu-metal era, 90s rock, post-punk/revival, midwest emo, alt-rock, and "divorced dad rock" as my boyfriend calls it. My favourite bands are Linkin Park, Nothing But Thieves, Radiohead, and The National. I saw the National live in 2023, and it was the happiest day of my life. My fiancé and I are seeing My Chemical Romance and might throw up from excitement.
Okay, I swear I'm not weird... I don't watch much television, but I like LIVE on true crime/lost media/unsolved stuff on youtube. My boyfriend thinks I have an obsession with iceberg chart videos (I do).

LIFE
I work in a vet clinic and I will apologize now, sometimes I am DRAINED after work and will take time to reply. But I do work a good balance of four days working and four days off. But sometimes I just want to rot and gamer on my days off.
I'm a big mental health advocate, and I've struggled with it since my teenage years, which is probably why I turned to the internet at such a young age. It was very difficult to teach internet safety/don't talk to people online courses because I'm ONE OF THEM. I am medicated for anxiety and depending on the day I've had, sometimes I will just take my pills and shut down after work.
I was in a Long Distance Relationship with my boyfriend for almost a full year before we met in person, and then we had back and forth visits before I finally jumped the gun and closed the gap in December 2023. I love him and we got engaged last December. He is my rock and my world.
