She's been doing well to stay away from the ShadowClan border. It bothers her, now, to know that somehow the marshlands regifted life to the medicine cat. She doubts she would survive a bite that horrid and yet... the bug did. She supposes that comes with the nature - after all, it does take a few tries to squish an ant, doesn't it?
Yet Serpentberry still needs to visit the thunderpsth on occasion, and she would be damned to trust her daughter here alone. And so, she trawls for anything useful by the ditch, eyes focused downwards. Her nose twitches as, just above the tarmac, a new scent arrives. Annoyance breathes itself into her frame yet she fashions a well worn smile, straightening her spine, and -
"Oh, Jade, it's just you," she chirps and relaxes her shoulders, though the smile never leaves. "And here I thought it was someone important bothering my midday walk." Her purr is genuine even if her words are playfully unkind. Twitching her tail, she motions to her side of the thunderpath, "Care to join me?"
