{$title} Peachtrot finds Jinglemoon past the far border of the territory
Let's play like we're children and sing till the moons full

Before the day we turn to nothing but sand

When she had arrived in camp with Wavesong and herbs in tow, the last thing that Peachtrot had expected was the tension that seemed to crackle like wild fire. Life guard after life guard exited the medicine cat den, fur bristled, heads low, and tails lashing. 'Is the meeting over? I'm not that late, am I?' Thoughts swirled in her head as she and the bi-color moved into the medicine den themselves to drop off their herbs and sort them out. There seemed to have been no response from their leader about what had transpired in the space, although he was sure to quell her fears that her not getting there on time was the reasoning behind the storm offs. Still, her paws itched to know where the others went and when Jinglemoon had not come back after the few minutes she sat with Wavesong sorting herbs, the red molly couldn't help but get worried. She had wanted to show him that he'd have help regaining his stock and that it wasn't so big of a task as they all thought, if they worked together! With small apologies and an excuse of a personal hunt, Peachtrot stepped away from the herb scented den and out of camp. She had seen him head in the direction that the sun set in, paws carrying her after his trail.

She wasn't sure what she expected... while she wasn't sprinting to catch up to the medicine cat, she hadnt expected his trail and scent to go so far out. When her paws passed over the Ash Glade, her ears flicked backwards, worry clawing at her gut. There wasn't much else past this point, after all. Would Jinglemoon really go this far to find herbs? Couldn't he have found any of them closer to home? This was so close to the border, what if some cold-hearted cat attacked him? Peachtrot didn't know what she would do if he got even more injured than he already was! And all by his lonesome, with no one to help... A brisk shake of her entire body helped to clear those thoughts from her mind, huffing out a breath in determination. 'Stop that, Peachy. You can't think like that now! He probably just knows of a special herb that grows near the far border, is all...' White paws continued onward, carrying her a bit more briskly than they had before.

❀❀❀

The trek to the border was not a far one after she had passed the Ash Glade. The trickling sound of flowing water was the first sign that she was nearing it and the scent of the cat she was searching for seemed to grow stronger with each step she made. Light shown through the foliage of trees and leaves, the tell-tale sign of water reflections dancing along the underside of the canopy for to bright to miss. 'Finally!' Her ears perked and paws raced forward to break into the clearing along the rivers edge with an exclamation. "Found ya, Jin-....gle..." The second syllable dropped in volume as the strong scent of her friend betrayed her sight, as he was no where to be seen on their side of the flowing water. But that was impossible! Her nose would never lie to her! Head swiveling side to side like a prey animal checking it's surrounding, the molly breathed the air in, parting her teeth to catch the scent on the roof of her mouth. There was no doubt, he was around here...

Movement caught her eye and her head snapped towards it, a signature blue tail seen across the waters disappearing through the foliage. 'Is that... but why is he across the border... Is he...' Realization hit her like a fish tail against her cheek, and, before she could finish the thought, her legs were moving. "J-JINGLE-MINGLE, WAIT!!" Peachtrot hit the water with an much grace as a flopping kitten, pushing herself through the water as quickly as her paws could propel her before she was on the other bank and rushing toward's where she saw his pelt disappear. 'He cant! He wouldn't!' "DON'T LEAVE, JINGLE! I'M SORRY I WASN'T THERE ON TIME! THE HERBS CAN BE FIXED, I PROMISE!!" Her chest ached and there was a burn in her eyes she hadn't felt in a long time as tears tettered on the edge of her gaze. 'Please don't leave without saying goodbye...'

Jinglemoon was almost done with patching up the injured large fawn molly with the bright orange eyes he'd met just on the outskirts of RiverClan territory, he'd gone back and forth a few times now in search of any herbs, leaves and cobwebs he could use to help with her injuries but on his last trip back across to the foliage on the other side of the river where he had helped her to set up a makeshift den-- He heard a familiar voice call for him, using that just as equally familiar nickname. Peachy. The medicine cat came screeching to a halt as he turned to face the red tabby, a leaf wrap still firmly clenched between his jaw. His blue eyes looked bewildered and concerned as the two RiverClan cats nearly crashed right into each other as Peachtrot raced after him and he raced back towards her at the alarm in her voice. Had something else happened? No-- She thought he was... Leaving?

With how he had been outside the territory when she came this way he supposed it was a fair assumption to make, especially with how he had raced off on his own. Setting the leaf wrap down carefully the blue tabby tom would swallow hard as he tried to address his clanmate and explain himself... How could he explain himself? He had been using his time and herbs to heal an outsider and at a time like this? When his skills were needed to heal his clanmates and their herbs had just been ransacked from under their own noses? He knew how it would look. But he couldn't just leave the molly to fend for and heal herself could he? Would Peachtrot understand that though? Usually the answer that came to mind would of course be 'yes!' but at this time? He wasn't so sure, he wasn't sure of anything really at the moment and so he stood in the way of where he knew Dagger would be resting, waiting for him to return and to finish the rest of her care.

"P-Peachy!" He tried not to sound as alarmed as he actually felt but he certainly didn't sound like his usual casual self either and still looked rather flushed as well. "Wh-what're you doing all the way out here? Are you on a border patrol?" He flashed a concerned look past her towards RiverClan's border that lay a few tail-lengths away. Maybe Peachy he could trust with the knowledge of him helping Dagger but the others? Most certainly not, not yet anyway. His heart ached looking at the Life Guard who looked like she was on the verge of tears, he'd move to bump his head gently against her shoulder reassuringly, feeling guilty for having made his friend worry that much "It's okay Peachy, I'm not going anywhere I promise-- You know I wouldn't leave without saying goodbye" Nor would he leave without Twinkle but his throat tightened at the thought of leaving those he truly did consider like a second family to him behind as well, Peachy being one of them.

"You don't need to apologize, you didn't miss anything worth hearing anyway-- I'm not that upset about the herbs also and- Hey hey, just breathe okay? I'm not going anywhere I swear on StarClan!" He wanted to help her calm down first and foremost, both for Peachtrots' sake but also because he didn't want anyone to overhear her discovering him outside the border.

OOC- Takes place directly after the his first meeting with Dagger
