Tension had crashed over Riverclan in a fierce wave. Unease seeped into the minds of the cats here. Anger bubbled up from beneath in some as well.

All of this was understandable, Twinklepaw was young but she was no fool. She herself had a lot of complex thoughts about what had happened the night before. She had no kind words for the foxhearted pests that raided this land and hurt her clanmates, her friends, her family. Over what? Herbs? Had they not thought to ask for help? Or did they take pride in cruelty? Were they even doing this under their own leader's approval at all, or did they do this to undermine them, to embarrass their own clanmates, their friends, their families?

She supposed it hardly mattered. Why would they care? Outside of wanting to claw and scar whoever hurt her uncle as retribution, Twinklepaw felt mostly pity towards the thieves and ruffians that came here. It was... strange. She wasn't sure why this was the case.

Either way, her justified distaste and disappointment was secondary and unimportant compared to helping keep her clan together in whatever way she could. As early as she could manage, she scurried away into the territory around Riverclan's camp to see if she could rustle up some herbs. She wasn't going to look blindly, so she sought what was familiar, things that she had seen her uncle Jinglemoon have in his stores rather than trying to find something new. As a result, she came across some comfrey and stinging nettle. Was it going to be enough to make a difference? She hoped so.

Twinklepaw couldn't find any more herbs this early, and chose to not stick around out here by herself for sake of safety in numbers for now and began trotting her way back towards the camp with her collection of herbs in tow.

Twinklepaw finds...
x1 Comfrey
x1 Stinging Nettle!

You can be certain that some day—

After hurriedly racing from the medicine den Jinglemoon had headed straight for the camp entrance. His paws did not slow after having clawed through that either though and if anything he had noticeably picked up the pace. Where was he headed to? Even he didn't know right now. He was just going. Anywhere away from camp would do and the further the better honestly.

His paws thrummed against the damp earth as he raced across the territory, his heart pounding in his chest loud enough to ring in his ears and head though it did nothing to slow his pace-- What did though was spotting a familiar pelt up ahead that he was bound to crash into if he didn't slow down and soon! Digging his claws into the mossy ground and kicking up a bit of dirt along the way Jinglemoon would eventually slow to a hurried prance, skipping himself over the top of Twinklepaw before the two of them could collide.

Once he landed on the other side he'd take a few hurried breaths to somewhat collect himself before looking back to his niece, noticing her tail fur was accompanied by a couple of herbs. Had she been out collecting some too? "Are those for me?" His expression softened and he'd move to rub his cheek against the top of her fluffy head. "Be mindful of the leaves of this one" He'd mew softly, pointed out the stinging nettle "They can sting if not soaked in water first" Luckily they were just tucked neatly in her tail fur so she ought to be fine. "Thank you Twinkle, I hope you were still able to get in a good rest though and haven't been out all morning just to help me stock up" He hoped too that she hadn't been frightened by what had happened last night and was grateful that she was unharmed.

He was clearly still in a hurry to go somewhere but his temporary stop had reminded him of the pain in the injured part of his face as well as his heart. He couldn't just hurry off to nowhere without reassuring Twinklepaw though, he knew that she'd know something was wrong. Even though he had no plans to tell her about it in full, she was still so young and didn't need the weight of a council meeting gone terribly wrong on her shoulders on top of the knowledge about the heist on their home. "I'm going to go out for a bit by myself, okay? I'll be back though, I wouldn't leave without bringing you with" He had promised his brother he would look after her and he intended to keep that promise for as long as he lived.
