He felt an immense pressure on him having an apprentice. When their clan was combined with Shadowclan, there were few enough young cats that there was hardly a need for mentors. After breaking off into Thunderclan, he felt unqualified and felt relief every time Juniperstar glossed over him. But now the rise of Loonstar brought changes, and one of those changes was him having an apprentice. She was a sheepish thing, orange fur a stark contrast amongst the snow that littered the forest. Her timid nature made him feel even more tense. What if he royally messed up? What if he made it, so this poor apprentice begged Loonstar for another mentor?
He swallowed hard as he led her out of camp, glancing behind him every so often like he expected her to run at any moment. As they reached a clearing in the snow, he gently sat down, fluffy black tail wrapping around his paws. "So... Sunpaw." He murmured, trying to sound more confident than he looked. "What c-calls to you," His voice cracked, causing his pelt to prickle with anxiety as he tried to push past it and continue. "D-do you want to be a ranger? A forager?" He asked, tilting his head. His remaining eye focused on the small molly.
