indentWindclan's leader enters the clearing with her head held high, her clan following behind her. "All of you, best behavior. We don't need more enemies." She looks over her shoulder, assessing her gathered cats, before locking eyes with a certain bay molly in the crowd. "They may have wronged us before, but we need to trust in Juniperstar's bid for peace." Dustystar is wary of the offer herself, but the chance at peace - and getting answers - is too good to pass up.

indent Silver fur parts a path through the crowd, making its way to the longfurred brown tabby on the opposite side of the clearing. Dustystar recognizes her as fitting Juniperstar's description, based on what Merrystalk had told her. At the moment, Thunderclan's leader is engaging in easy conversation with Pikestar, who's in the middle of entertaining some of the gathered cats.
"Juniperstar. It's good to finally meet you." She keeps the tone light, but there's an air of tension in her voice. Juniperstar is the leader she's last to meet, and get a read on. The molly seems nice enough, but Dustystar remains suspicious. Regardless, she bows her head, politely. "Thank you for putting all of this together"

Things were happening fast, too fast... But Pebblepaw kept his ears pricked, listening with strained focus as talk of the Gathering reached him. Where others saw excitement, or nerves, or ceremony... he saw opportunity. A chance to search farther than they'd let him wander. A chance to look for Mama Alder beyond the hills and heather. Surely, if he just kept looking... So of course he was striding in step with the other WindClanners, a cheerful smile plastered across his face, a little too wide, a little too bright to be entirely sincere.

" Gosh! This is gonna be super exciting, huh? " he chirped, tail swishing high. " I just hope no stinkin' ThunderClanners are gonna be bullies again, like last time! " His smile sharpened at the edges, tail flicking once with visible irritation. No. He wouldn't let that happen again. All the while, his eyes never stopped moving, scanning every direction, every unfamiliar pelt in the distance. Mama Alder could be here. Maybe not tonight, but someday... someday he'd see faer in the crowd.

He leaned a little closer to Gorsepaw, voice dipping into a whisper full of mock curiosity. " D'ya think that dumb cat who was so mean to you'll be there, huh? " His expression was all innocence, but there was a glint in his eyes, something more feral than friendly. He was watching. Waiting.

It was like there was something caught in his throat, having heard first-hand the suggestion of a gathering from Juniperstar had left Merrystalk on edge since. Maybe a moon ago, he would have thought the idea to be great, a peaceful way to bring the five clans together, catch up with the ongoings and let folks mingle amicably.

But the events of the last half moon had left the Gale Guard shaken; he refused to let it show, but the hypervigilance since the attack on Dustystar hadn't given him time to think straight. Though he wouldn't allow that to strike fear into his clanmates, a council wrought in fear would only lead to issues for the clan, so Merry strode along with Harefoot and Hollowmumble, Cloverpaw following very closely behind. He chattered as he always did, a warm smile on his face and filling the conversation with his usual sort of cheer. The tension of him snapping at Sassafrass had left permenant issues admist some of his friends, so it was something he was nipping in the bud sooner than later.

"- 'm just curious what on earth Juniperstar has planned fer this whole thing." His voice was a hum, trying not to ruin one of the only stalks of rye he had with him. Since his own... Run in. His nerves had gotten the better of him, and he turned to his usual absent chewing on stalks of plants to keep his mind busy over getting neurotic at the slightest glimpse of a problem. Part of him had considered staying home, protecting Honeyflower and Owlbear, but then again, he felt a duty to protect Dustystar where he had failed before.

Though his voice died down as they made it to Fourtrees, it seemed that Thunderclan and Riverclan had beaten them to the punch, but Skyclan and Shadowclan were nowhere to be seen. They would show in time, but for now, he nodded politely towards Juniperstar yet again, trying to show some sort of gratitude for the creation of the gathering as if he didn't currently hate the idea of being anywhere near the cat that could have been terrorising the clan.

His gaze instead fell to his clanmates, noticing @Cloverpaw 's usual nervous disposition seemed more overt than usual, while he hadn't had as much time to talk with the kid, she was close to Hollow, and that meant he felt just as responsible for helping the apprentice out, too. "Aye, Clover, I know the gatherin' is gonna be a lil' dauntin', but if ya' get worried 'bout somethin' ya' can come to me 'nd I'll try 'n help." Sometimes the knowledge of there being someone to keep an eye out is enough for even the meekest cats to relax a little, but then again he couldn't blame her for being on edge.

He couldn't help but notice what seemed to be Pebblepaw and Gorsepaw conspiring in some way, after the confrontation with Thunderclan he needed to keep a close eye on the pair too... Merry let out a small huff, he wouldn't let himself get worked up, but already with so many new faces, he couldn't help but feel on edge himself for the safety of his friends and family.

His rules had been cut and dry before leading his warriors to the oaks. Start a fight, and you'll be licking the camp clean. He did not care for whatever personal vendettas his Clanmates may have beyond what he already knew existed between them and ThunderClan. He knows RiverClan may have plenty to say despite reaching a resolution, at the very least he may find some pleasant company in WindClan or the mystical SkyClan he has not seen of yet.

Before they even step a single paw into the clearing the scent of so many cats tells him of how overwhelmed the Oaks have become. Swarming with different colored pelts and drifting too many scents for him to follow. It would be easy to get lost in, he can hardly spot Juniperstar in the mix of it all. He had been hopeful they might speak again but a crowd surrounded her. He recognized one of the faces from the RiverClan patrol, and the other his kin from WindClan. He did not feel any strong desire to push through the crowd to reach them, but he had anyway- who else would he bother speaking to?

"She really knows how to start a party." Sablestar meowed over the all the noise, reaching to nudge his muzzle against his mate in greeting before settling beside Dustystar. "How is WindClan? I was thinking, with greenleaf so prosperous in prey recently, our warriors may enjoy a hunt together some time." A gathering of their own, maybe, without all this unnecessary pushing between pelts just to walk.

The moon hung overhead like a silver coin, its light spilling over, molten silver glinting off their backs. Cats poured in like floodwater, pelts brushing, voices blending into a low, indecipherable hum. Fleafire picked through the crowd with her eyes, scanning for anything familiar—though unless one of the other clan cats felt like talking to her, she was content to keep to her own.

She strutted in with shoulders loose and chin proudly lifted just-so, flanked on either side by Tickpaw and Stoatpaw. The latter she nudged playfully with her shoulder. She was the smallest of the three, but between the three of them—she was the only warrior. Tonight, she was looking out for them.

After what happened with RiverClan, she wouldn't put it past one of those fishmongers to try something. She heard just how they treated her friend over there. Fleafire had half the mind to march up to the silver bastard that threatened her and mash his face in.

Her gaze burned across the gathering, embers sweeping the crowd. Let them stare at them. Let them talk too. She hoped someone would make the mistake of testing their luck—just so she could show them exactly what she'd learned from Froststorm and Jadethorn. Scars ached faintly, still fresh enough to sting when she stretched that leg. She'd started to like them, though. Scars looked pretty badass—and if she was going to walk among cats like Sablestar and Coalstrike, she figured she'd need a few more.

"This..." She muttered between the two. "—has got to be the dumbest idea in the history of dumb ideas." A smirk twitched on her face. Fleafire wouldn't have missed it for all the frogs in the pocosin.

Fleafire values family and strength the most. She is clever, sharp-tongued, and quick to anger. She is guided by her desire to become stronger and protect those she cares about—at any cost. Fleafire respects strength but not necessarily authority. She will push boundaries and take advantage of the weak at any given opportunity.

Due to her experiences, Fleafire is corrupt and lacks morals. She does not believe in Starclan but now believes in the Dark Forest. While not a devout follower, her loyalty belongs to her mentor, Froststorm, who reached out when she was at her lowest and saw her into warriorhood.

Growing up in a kitten mill, being separated from her mother, ending up on the streets, and being powerless have deeply affected her view of the world. Despite that, she has grown more resilient as a result of her hardships and bounces back quickly. Her training and mended relationships with some of her clanmates has solidified her devotion toward ShadowClan.

Peonypaw had not needed to think much about whether he wants to come to this oh-so important meeting; with Dustystar herself having crowned herself with the rather unfortunate task of mentoring him, his participation had been expected. Something about proposed peace—Peonypaw hopes with every bit of his being that peace will eventually grace him—warrants all the correct appearances. That is to say, he doesn't belong, but it's not like someone like him could change the mind of someone like Dustystar.

The fur along his spine lifts as soon as he sees the crowd. The location itself doesn't speak to him like it would speak for others, seeing as Peonypaw had not participated in what ended the Colonies, so the night sky or the swaying foliage are all but background noise. It's the countless faces and the overwhelming scents that grab him at once instead.

Like a lost little kitten, Peonypaw follows Dustystar. His tail drags on the ground and his head remains lowered: anxiety bleeds from him with every uncertain, fidgety movement of his too-long limbs. Dustystar had not dismissed him, had not told him to go and mingle (thank the stars for that), and without anything better to do, he instinctively clings to her like some sort of safety net. It's the most amount of obedience she has seen from him in moons.

Dustystar's shadow takes a seat right beside him. Peonypaw's eyes are somehow simultaneously narrowed in suspicion and widened to the size of two moons as he steals glances at the other leaders; he doesn't wish to make eye contact, lest they speak to him, but their presence draws him in nevertheless. Suddenly still like stone, Peonypaw grinds his teeth together and listens.

This peaceful gathering worried Hollow. It would be so easy for something like this to be some kind of trap, which she was inclined to beleive due to the aggression that Thunderclan had shown the adolescents of their clan. She didn't quite trust it, but honestly it seemed like none of them did. She could tell from the nervous glances and shifting paws amongst many of the cats that had come along, which was a lot of them. She herself found herself curious, torn between going and staying back at camp to make sure the younger cats and the more vulnerable had someone capable to guard them. Not to say the others that stayed weren't capable, Hollow wasn't experienced at fighting herself, but at least she would be there.

Watching as more and more cats gathered together to get ready to leave, including Merry, she found herself drifting closer to the gathering group until she was standing by Merrystalk with Cloverpaw firmly at her side. As they all set out, she gave the camp one last worried glance.

At Merry's hummed curiosity about Juniperstar's plans, Hollow mumbled "I just hope it's nothing too bad." Anything could go wrong, and she knew it. At least with their large group, if it came down to a fight, they might have good enough numbers to make it somewhat even.

As their group slipped through the ferns and into the fourtrees, she immediantly took her assumptions back. They would absolutely be outnumbered if this were an ambush. It seemed that wasn't the case however, as she watched the cats that were slowly intermingling. Casting a couple wary glances in Thunderclan's direction, she pressed her flank up against Cloverpaw's side. There were so many cats already, and based off of the scents alone, it seemed this wasn't even all of them. There were more clans to go. The noise from all the conversation made her ears lay flat to try and block some of it out, there were more cats here than there ever were at the barn. It was overwhelming.

Focusing back on her clanmates, she heard Merry's reassurances toward Cloverpaw. "I'll stay close." she said, half to Cloverpaw, half to Merry. It wasn't like she was going anywhere. She wasn't as much of a talker as many of the other cats were.

Coalstrike marched with purpose, each step echoing his confidence as his amber gaze swept across the gathering cats. His plume-like tail slashed once through the air, a silent signal of both control and tension. The clan he strode with was proud, strong. This Gathering felt like a performance, a hollow invitation. A fool's errand, if you asked him. But Sablestar had spoken, and Coalstrike would obey. Let the children mingle. Let the other clans preen. He would attend, and he would watch.

Perhaps, if fortune saw fit... He might even find his son among the sea of ThunderClan pelts. ...Or her. Though that was wishful thinking, the kind of slim hope that gnawed instead of comforted. His hackles lifted briefly at the thought, a breath leaving him through flared nostrils. He refocused. Sablestar had been explicit: no bloodshed. No unnecessary squabbles. He would behave. Civil, even. To all of them. Even the simpering cats of RiverClan.

The scent of many cats hit him all at once. He narrowed his eyes, scanning the crowd and then he saw him. Copper. The way the younger tom froze told Coalstrike everything. His own satisfaction was quiet but undeniable, curling his lip into the faintest smirk. Without a word, he broke off from the group and settled himself in a spot where he could see clearly, his large form casting a shadow. He loomed, a mountain of silent judgment and sharp memory. He said nothing. But he watched. And waited. Because this was bound to go wrong... And then they would see just what kind of truths would survive the night.

Half a thought to join his son, have small talk. See whether he was as brainwashed as ever, but he decided against it. If he wanted information, he would get such the next time him and Stilldream would meet... Talking about... His gaze wandered momentarily, falling upon the pristine white molly and giving a slow blink in her direction, no more than that as he shifted his attention once more, observing each cat that was currently present.

The blue-furred tom skulked forward, his paws brushing the forest floor as he trailed behind the group of ShadowClanners, at his side his sister and beside her, his friend; Stoatpaw. His form hugged the shadows, shoulders hunched slightly, head low. A faint frown tugged at his muzzle, and his tail dragged just enough to stir fallen leaves in his wake. He cast a sideways glance at the smaller warrior beside him, torn ear twitching to signal he was listening, even if he hadn't said much. The dark pressed in around them like a second skin, and he hated how it made his chest tighten, tight with unease, tight with memories.

His sharp orange eyes narrowed, a flicker of teeth flashing in a silent grimace before he pushed ahead. Already, the sharp scent of many cats drifted on the wind, too many. It made his hackles itch. This was a bad idea. The only reason he had come at all was because Fleafire and Stoatpaw were here. He needed to be close. Needed to shield them if things turned. To bare his teeth at the first sign of danger. He didn't trust this gathering. Not for a heartbeat. ShadowClan and ThunderClan had never been friends. Not even if Sablestar wanted to prance after the ThunderClan leader like a lovesick hare. That didn't account for the rest of the clans. And RiverClan would be here too. Tension pulsed in the air like lightning before a storm. WindClan atleast was an ally... SkyClan had... Been kind to him after the coyote attack...

" Agreed. " he murmured finally, glancing toward Fleafire before his eyes flicked to Stoatpaw. She had changed... Ever since the heist. Ever since her so-called 'grounding'... Tickpaw could feel the weight both his friends carried, invisible but undeniable. Secrets they wouldn't share. Worries they wouldn't speak. He watched Stoatpaw a second longer, his gaze softening for just a flicker before he quickly looked away. Focus. Eyes on the crowd. On the threat. " …This spells trouble. " he muttered at last, his voice quiet and rough with certainty. His eyes slitted as he scanned the gathering ahead.

He was ready. If blood was shed, he would stand between it and the ones he loved.

Flamerunner wasn't entirely sure why he'd chosen to tag along to the Gathering. It all felt so... tedious. He could've had a nice little spot to curl up and nap. Peace, quiet, the works. But then again… Sealpaw was going. And he was more than fond of that kid. The one they'd rescued from ThunderC-- …The Colony. …The incident. …The war? His thoughts tangled into each other, a half-finished snarl of memory and blame. Maybe both sides were at fault. Maybe no one walked away clean. It didn't matter now. It was too late to pull back from ShadowClan.

Still… the choice he'd made, it gnawed at him. A decision that might haunt the rest of his days.

And now, here they were. Every Clan, side by side under the stars. Too many eyes. Too many old grudges. Flamerunner's tail flicked once, tension bleeding through the easy curve of his spine. He didn't like this many cats in one place, not after everything. Not when peace felt more like a pause. But without all of it… He wouldn't have met Fleafire. Wouldn't have grown close to Sealpaw. Wouldn't get to relentlessly flirt with Timberfrost, who, frankly, was adorable when flustered.

He would've missed a lot.

So here he was now, walking alongside Sealpaw. Her steps carried more confidence these days, closer to a warrior than a kit and pride rumbled in his chest at the sight of her. His blue eyes met hers for a moment, and a smile tugged at his muzzle. He leaned in, brushing against her gently. " You stick close to me, 'kay, kiddo? Just in case. Or hey, I'll stick close to you. I can do that too. Personal bodyguard package, full-time protection. How's that sound, huh? "

He winked, his laugh light, but a little softer than usual. Because even if he wouldn't say it aloud… he didn't trust the peace. Not yet.

Sablestar had made his hopes for this full moon clear, and Mirepurr is ready to try and live up to those expectations. Not a whisker out of line—though that much is natural for them even in the comfort of ShadowClan's swamps, anyway. Their gaze searches through the massive amount of pelts, some familiar and some not so much, and wonders what each and every one of them might be thinking right about now. Perhaps that one RiverClanner rues the fact that their attempt at drowning Hollowmist had failed. Is that ThunderClan warrior eyeing them specifically? The soft grass under Mirepurr's paws remind them of the past—surely no battle will break out here this time.

Eager to stick to their goal, Mirepurr looks for something to focus on. Tickpaw; the mentor-apprentice pair has slotted together nicely, so keeping a careful eye out on the cat that Sablestar had entrusted them with comes easy. They overhear a snippet of conversation between Tickpaw's friends and hurries over to chip in.

"There won't be trouble if we don't provoke anyone,"
 Mirepurr reminds gently. They can't exactly fault the apprentices—err, the apprentices and Fleafire—for thinking this way... Mirepurr can only hope that their words won't backfire on them. It'd be rather embarrassing for a mentor to be undermined by the thoughtless action of others.

With a quick glance thrown their leader's way, Mirepurr remains optimistic. Surely he knows what he's doing.

Snakepaw heard about the Gathering, about meeting the other clans. He never met any cat of any of the other clans, but he had heard about them. He heard about Thunderclan's friction with Shadowclan, fated from the beginning to not get along. However, even Riverclan had beef with Shadowclan now, thanks to that heist. From what he heard, they were on good terms with Windclan. But Skyclan was a wildcard, no established relationship yet.

He wasn't very sure about following Sablestar and the rest of his clanmates to a trap from Thunderclan. Which, even for him, was clearly a trap. Why would Thunderclan now want peace? And why would Shadowclan agree to that?

Still, if a fight was going to happen, and he felt like it was inevitable for it to happen, he wanted to be there and help his clanmates. He was still an apprentice, to be a warrior in a month or two, but he felt he could stand his ground and help out if things turned dire.

So, even if apprehensive, he had a duty to his clan and gathered by Sablestar as he warned his clan. No starting fights, Snakepaw felt he could oblige. Be ready to fight, but don't start shit, yeah, I can do that!

He walked by himself, lost in thoughts, until they hit the Gathering. He was slightly aware of Fleafire walking around with who he thought were Stoatpaw and Tickpaw, her siblings. He gave a small nod towards her, acknowledging her, but he didn't approach. He didn't feel like testing his luck today.

The first thing that he noticed when entering the Gathering were the smells: so many new smells, new cats he never met. He opened his mouth, keeping it open for a while, taking in all this new word of smells. Then he noticed all the different pelts, the crowded space, and all the talking, cats already mingling.

He was amazed. Maybe this wasn't a trap, after all? He barely noticed as Sablestar went towards the other leaders and started talking to them. Snakepaw's head was too full, taking in all the noise and smells.

The young apprentice started walking around, part to dissipate his anxious energy, part to better look at the other cats. He wanted to talk to them, learn about the other clans, but he still felt like at any moment things could turn sour, so he didn't dare approach anyone himself.

The thought plagued her mind every step of the way from the pocosin, past the ponds, across the thunderpath, through the bushes and finally into Fourtress. She knew the place, fortunately or not so much. On the upside, she knew where she could run because it was all she could think about.

It wasn't like she was on Riverclan territory! They wouldn't do anything, right? Right? Her stomach turned, flinching as Fleafire nudged gently into her shoulder, knocking her back into the present. The mottled scents of so many clans all at once, but of course, she recognised Riverclan over everything.

A slight motion, but Stoatpaw rested her head gently against Flea. She was far bigger than her sister by now, but there was the comfort of someone who would always be in her corner. By the Stars, she would never want a fight to break out, but with the other at her side, she was able to let out a shuddered breath to try and ground herself.

She looked to Flea before chuckling dryly. "Dumb idea is the biggest understatement I think I've ever heard." She tried to settle her unweildy heart, but it was hard to ignore the primal need to run before she was hunted down first. Her clan was here; they wouldn't let her get hurt... Right?

Though she wasn't ignorant of Tickpaw's quick glance, she gave him a watery smile. For her dread, she utterly refused to show it as much as she could bear, showing weakness made her a poor warrior. Her eyes grazed the gathering, there was a clan missing still so it seemed, Skyclan....

But quickly, as her gaze fell on Pikestar, her eyes shot down. Like if she didn't look at him or the rest of Riverclan, she would be invisible to them. For once, she hoped she would go overlooked as she had been for moons at home; she would be safer that way. She tried to hide the shake in her paws, the fear that clawed at her pelt and had been for a moon now, wanting this gathering to be finished sooner rather than later.

It was pathetic, really, so close to becoming a warrior and wanting to sob at the sight of another clan, but it was hard to ignore the threads made against her. Even if there were a few select cats who proved it wasn't a clan-wide grudge, she still couldn't help but find a terror at the idea of any cat of the other clan coming anywhere near her. She knew this thing was meant to be peaceful, a mingling event or whatever, but she didn't feel safe at all.

Torrentpaw had been weaving through cats with ease, slipping between conversations his clanmates were having with others enthusiastically. He watched over time as more clans flooded in from the trees, recognizing each by scent. Though his body tensed as the clan he was most interested in padded from the shadows, their scent flowing through the clearing. His demeanor seemed to change with the air at Shadowclan's arrival, growing cautious as his gaze swept over his clanmates. Drawing away from the conversations, Torrentpaw's ears perked with interest.

Padding through the masses to get a better view of the Shadowclan warriors, The first cat he spotted was who he assumed to be Sablestar. He watched the scarred tuxedo stride through the clearing and to the other leaders, settling onto his haunches. Whiskers twitching, he stood in place as his eyes locked onto the larger tom. He wanted to know what kind of leader he was.

Though his staring was cut short. Torrentpaw heard her before he spotted her, Stoatpaw's mew finding his ears as his entire body turned in reaction.

Heart flooding his mind, he took a pawstep towards her, but quickly stopped himself in reminder of their circumstances. Torrentpaw's gaze fell onto the cats that flanked her, catching the last bit of their disgruntled mews as Stoatpaw meowed in agreement. He clenched his jaw, realizing it probably wasn't the best time to approach his friend, as much as he wanted to. Torrentpaw knew from the look on her face how she was feeling, from a memory of his own.

He waited to catch her gaze, his expression growing bright and full of silent reassurance from where he stood.

Like most of her clanmates, it seemed, Cloverpaw was still wary about the idea of the gathering. There were so many cats here, although she noticed quite a few of them were younger cats her age as she walked past some cats from other clans. This many cats all in one place made her nervous, far more nervous than any patrol or clan meeting had ever made her. They said it would be a peaceful gathering... I hope it does stay that way...

Still, the reassurances from the older cats in their little cluster did soothe her slightly - at least enough for her to sit down and settle herself a little. Cats from other clans seemed to be mingling, chattering away in a blended mix of fur colors and textures. She knew they were at least on somewhat good terms with the ShadowClan cats, and she supposed if one approached her she'd try to make some small talk... but any of the other clans she had barely any knowledge on how friendly they were or how likely they were to seek out an interaction with WindClan cats. Much like Hollowmumble seemed to be doing, she figured she'd just stay in place with cats she knew unless she was given a reason otherwise.

Serpentberry figures she can comprehend where this idea of Juniperstar's came from. After all, Rowanpaw had a similar track of mind - to unite under a realm of safety would be a blessing to the Clans. However, where Rowanpaw had been smart is that she only invited a pawful of individuals. Juniperstar left the metaphorical doors open to anyone interested, which likely spells the end for at least one or two souls that night. But - she is their leader, and one of Serpentberry's true friends. Perhaps this once, she can allow the molly her soft whimsy and hope.

She waits near Juniperstar, watching as her kits follow their mentors on growing paws. Leafpaw traipses along after Stilldream before she sends the young tortoiseshell away, both actions causing the molly's jaw to tense with discomfort. Thistlepaw and Rattlepaw, too, must be around here. It's quiet for a moment, and then suddenly - one, two, three other Clans fill the clearing. Scents of shadows and rivers and moors mingle in a space that once was only divided into two. Serpentberry is, for once, overwhelmed. Instinctively, she takes a step closer to Juniperstar, even as other leaders approach and greet her.

The discomfort burns away into disgust and jealousy as ShadowClan's leader chirps his greeting (and therelackof.) He bows his head to Juniperstar, curls his muzzle to hers and praises her for her ability to promote a wealth of kindness and amicability. That didn't matter moons ago, a sharp hiss is lost in her throat, shifting into a growl. When Thornstar was killed, you couldn't care less for her compassion. Or maybe, he cared too much. He wanted to preserve it, and there was no other way to do that. Serpentberry did not care to get in the mind of Sablestar, much less greet him properly. It quickly becomes obvious that this corner of the gathering would be reserved for leaders - whenever SkyClan arrives - and so, Serpentberry makes her leave.

Of course, not without her goodbyes. Sablestar makes the space between himself and Juniperstar by siding with the gray shaded molly. Serpentberry brushes her shoulder to her leader's, touching her nose to the same spot Sablestar graced moments before, as if in an attempt to erase his existence from her pelt. "I won't be far," she murmurs, tone low, the growl in her chest twisting into a half-purr in its remnants. Her tail traces the other's side as she parts ways with the superior crowd, dipping her toes into that of the many mingling cats.

And for anyone following the tortoiseshell smoke, despite her slow, intentional gestures with the ThunderClan leader, she fits in beside the welcome pelt of ShadowClan's Jadethorn. Happily, Serpentberry knocks her head into the other molly's cheek, pulling her tail with her own and seating herself. Another show for anyone to see, yet directed just for one to experience. It does not make her as sick as it should. Instead, it brings a venomous warmth to her smile.

"My precious gemstone~ I didn't think I'd see you tonight, with how... indisposed you should be...!" Serpentberry croons with a sing-song voice. Again, she checks for her kits. Again, she allows her gaze to drift to Sablestar, to Juniperstar, for a reaction of any sort (for none would result in her true displeasure.) And again, she turns her attention to Jadethorn, "Any movement yet? Oh, I remember when my little ones wouldn't stop kicking. Thornstar insisted that I'd lay in my nest for hours, and that he'd do all of everything for me! Truly pampered, I was..." Teasing, taunting, Serpentberry grins towards her friend.

Cloudberrypaw swings her head low, folllowing behind Wolfpack as the deputy enters the clearing. She doesn't immediately lose track of the tom, keeping his speckled and shaded visage delegated to her peripherals, but she does pay most of her attention to the grandness of the gathering. They are nearly last, it seems, though she can be happy to admit that it is not her slow gait that's gotten them to this point. Her throat burns with the exertion but otherwise, she's fine. Her instinct is to settle near Wolfpack and wait for the night to play out - but the wraith like molly decides against instinct yet again.

Her tail drags along the ground as she pulls from the ShadowClan thrall and into the mess that is the remaining gathering. She feels her heart pound with anxiety, excitement, anger, satisfaction - all emotions not belonging to her. Hemlockpaw flashes in her mind, her sibling's incredulous confusion becoming a constant in her mind. She follows one thread amidst the chaos, something unexplainable to her yet. It runs her right into another apprentice.

"... Hello," she greets the stranger, looking down her nose at the other. The other sounds of her heart nearly cease once she engages with the mystery before her. "I'm... a ShadowClanner. What Clan is yours...?"

As he walks around, still close to his clanmates, something catches Snakepaw's attention: a rosetted charcoal tom, circling close to the Shadowclanners. He caught his gaze pointing towards Fleafire, Stoatpaw and Tickpaw. He took a whiff of air and smelled the distinct smell of fish and river water embedded in the tom's fur: was he a Riverclanner? It made Snakepaw's fur bristle up. That didn't feel good. It couldn't bode well. Riverclan hated Shadowclan right about now.

He didn't want a fight to break out, even though he was aware that Fleafire could hold her own, and he felt Tickpaw could as well. He didn't have much hopes for Stoatpaw, the delicate lilac cat, but he knew Fleafire would take care of her. Snakepaw trotted towards Torrentpaw, chin up, puffing his chest and tail.

"Who are you? Are you a Riverclanner?" he asked, his voice dripping with suspicion. Snakepaw continued before allowing him a chance to answer, quickly and aggressively: "What do you want here? Why are you so close to us, Shadowclanners? What are you planning?"

"Who are you? Are you a Riverclanner?"

Torrentpaw's ears turned to the side, his head following right after as his gaze fell on who had approached him. He was slightly taller than Torrentpaw himself, green eyes like daggers as they met his own. As if his tone wasn't enough, the stranger's body language beamed with hostility, as if to scream you aren't welcome here. With one last look back at Stoatpaw, he turned his attention fully to the other apprentice.

Torrentpaw didn't move a muscle as he drew closer, their muzzles just a whisker's length away. He parted his jaws to reply to his first question, but was quickly cut off as the other continued his brash questioning. His eyes briefly flashed with amusement, as the cat suddenly reminded him of his friend Sharkpaw.

Torrentpaw blinked at the Shadowclanner as the questions subsided, pausing momentarily just to make sure he was finished.

"That's right--I'm a Riverclan apprentice!" Torrentpaw meowed at first, his voice steady with pride as he gazed at the tortoiseshell cat. "I thought it would be nice to meet a Shadowclan cat on neutral ground, and it seems like I have." He continued, eyes bright as his tone brimmed with genuine friendliness towards the prickly apprentice. Torrentpaw couldn't blame him for being wary, considering the circumstances between the two clans.

"My name's Torrentpaw, what's yours?"

indentttMothbite had been planning to stick close to Sablestar for most of the gathering, but he changes his mind as he sees a striped tortishell coat sweep through the crowd, towards Shadowclan's leader. Eugh. The thick, herbal scent that wafts off of Serpentberry just about makes him sick. Quickly and quietly, he makes his escape though the gathered cats, leaving Sablestar to fend of his 'mother' on his own.

indentttThere's not really any other cat at this gathering that Mothbite knows well enough to talk to, aside from his fellow clanmates. He's already lost track of Monsterpaw, so following his apprentice around is a no-go. For a second, he considers talking to Ghoststrike - but the ache in his muscles makes him reconsider. Thunderflash'd probaby have his hide again if he got to close to his tom.

indentttWith a sigh, Mothbite resigns himself to sitting alone at the edge of the clearing. At the sidelines, outside of the push of the crowd, it's harder for him to pretend being here again doesn't have an effect on him. He's gone out of his way to avoid the old camp. The place that had once served as his saving grace was now a graveyard of twisted memories. He can't forget the smell of blood, or the guilt as he fled. He'd been a coward then, letting the rest of Shadowclan take on the battle without him.

indentttClaws dig into the soft soil beneath his paws. He's not a coward anymore. A crowd like this is no big deal for a brave Night Guard like him!
