Dogflicker had proudly reported to her that Boarstomp and her hadn't found any traces of Shadowclan near the border, and Pigeonpearls momentary pride had been squashed beneath the slash of claws and the return of their leader, bloodied, ushered forth by Frostmoth. She had just stared. There had been one Life Guard that had went and hadn't returned. Pigeonpearl isn't quite sure whether or not to be disappointed or surprised, maybe even both. When Pikestar was rushed past, towards Jinglemoon, she hadn't protested, she hadn't said a word. She had went back to guard the camp not too long after, and then returned to the warriors den when the adrenaline wore off.
The night goes on, Pigeonpearl's inner turmoil begins to boil over. She rises to her paws from her spot where she sits outside the warriors den, and makes her way to Pikestars den.
"Pikestar," her voice is an attempt to be even, worn thin like a string too taught, ready to snap. Her form is shrouded by the dying moonlight outside, she casts a shadow within and her jaw is held too tight, full of... Anger, maybe? Her eyes flash with something unknown when she dips her head, not out of respect, but a movement full of thinly veiled control of her own body. "We should talk." it's not an ask, its a demand- Pigeonpearl had never been the one for tact, and if she wanted something, she would have to have it... But this doesn't have to wait, not when hes more than likely just as awake as she was. "What happened? Why?" and she had also never been the one to care, Pikestar and her had butted heads, so much so that one could possibly say that her dislike bordered more on disdain and contempt... But she can't help but feel... Something stir in her chest, an understanding, and maybe even the slightest bit of worry, the slightest bit of wanting to understand.
