There'd been a lot weighing on him lately. His kits were growing fast—too fast—and they were to be apprentices. Still a new concept for all of them, but still one that implied growth. That included Rosepaw too. Adderfang worried for her more than he felt he'd a right to. After all that had happened… being abandoned by her family, losing Leechpaw—he wasn't sure how easily she'd recover.
Course, there were plenty of strong folks in RiverClan. He would've trusted many of them to look after her, but Adder supposed he was feeling a bit selfish. Wavesong had taken her in, and in turn, with his willingness to follow that molly to the stars and back, so had he. He wasn't Rosepaw's father by blood, but that wouldn't stop him from looking after her like she was anything but his own. That girl was family no matter how she felt about it, and he wanted to be the one to help guide her.
There were others in need of guidance too, promising ones. And with the days pressing on, there was no better time to step up and take responsibility. No better time to make sure they had someone in their corner who wouldn't let them fall.
He cleared his throat gently. "Pikestar," He called in a low voice. If the leader was still sleeping, he would leave. "I'd like to have a word." He waited patiently at the entrance.
@PIKESTAR

Adderfang he/him & riverclan
𓆟 Chocolate ticked tabby w/ amber eyes. Peppered with scars. Deep gash across the right side of his face exposing one canine slightly. Missing left ear.
𓆟 Deep gravelly voice that might unsettle others.
𓆟 Would and will kill a man.
𓆟 Peaceful and healing powerplay permitted. For other powerplays, DM.
𓆟 Fur smells faintly of river reeds and damp earth.
