When it comes to assessments, Juniperstar is still learning how to measure what makes an apprentice warrior material as opposed to one still in need of training. She generally tries to find value in what skills have prolonged her own life: the ability to hunt, the dexterity to escape dangerous situations, and the ability to subdue an attacker. Assessments still lack uniformity, being explored and fluctuating from apprentice to apprentice... what is expected of one may not be expected of another during this time which may leave some more prepared for the cruelties of the world more readily than others.
It is always up to the roleplayer of mentor and apprentice to determine their success of failure- they can be a great spot for development, for early graduations that shouldn't have been allowed to slip under the radar, or late bloomers who were ready and held back by over-cautious mentors!
