‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ⟡ "Wake up!" Torrentpaw meowed, prodding Curlpaw gently in the side with his paw. Letting out a soft exhale as she hardly stirred at his gesture, Torrentpaw lowered himself into a crouch closer to her. "It's way past dawn, It's time you got up." He urged, shaking his sleeping friend. "You're lucky it wasn't Adderfang or Pineheart finding you sleeping in like this–you'd get a cuff over the ears for sure." Torrentpaw joked, though it wasn't far from the truth.

Torrentpaw blinked, letting a few seconds pass to see if Curlpaw would finally start to stir.

She didn't.

"Curlpaw!" Torrentpaw exclaimed once again, a slight laugh edging his mew as he rose into a sitting position.

Life is to be enjoyed not endured.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ⟡ The sun neared its highest position of the day. Rays of warmth seeped into the den and created the perfect pool to bask in. The she cat rolled onto her back as she snoozed. A gentle purr escaped her maw like a snore. Torrentpaw's voice was nothing but a whisper to her. Her dreams louder than the young cats call. His shaking felt like noting more then the wind of her dreams louder rocking her around. Her purrs stopped for a moment. Perhaps giving hope she would wake. Curly sneezed gently, then the purrs continued.

As her name was yelled, her eyes slowly opened. A smile grew on her face.

"Oh hey Torrentpaw..!" Curly's paws stretched straight up into the sky. Her face winced as she pulled a muscle. She looked back over to him before flopping onto her side. "Joining me for a nap?" His answer was always the same, but still she persisted.

  Curlpaw is a LAZY cat!! All she wants to do is eat and sleep. Having no motivation to progress in her training, she is often looked down upon. She is very carefree and doesn't care what the others think.
  
  Curlpaw is a Havana mix with a curly coat and a docked tail. Her fur is a rather deep amber. Her eyes glow a vibrant green.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ⟡ Torrentpaw tilted his head out of the way as she stretched, avoiding her unsheathed claws.

"Goodmorning." Torrentpaw teased, rising to his paws. "Maybe I could take a nap," He began, heading towards the entrance of the apprentice den. "After we do some fishing."

Shooting her an amused look before ducking out of the den, Torrentpaw headed towards an area of the river that surrounded their camp. He expected his friend to follow, hoping that he'd given her some initiative to get up and out of the apprentice den.

‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ⟡ Ears perked at the idea of Torrent napping with her. Just as she was about to adjust to get even more comfortable, he insisted they fish. A soft groan shook through her vocal cords. The she cat rose to her feet. Stopping to enjoy multiple stretches of various positions. Sunlight reflected from her fangs as she yawned.

As she left the den, a trail of dragged foot prints followed behind her. The dirt pushed aside into tiny mounds. Eventually she caught up to him.

Curlpaw huffed. Her rear smacking down into the river bank. "Make sure to leave all the minnows for me." She giggled. "After all, I'm no expert catfish hunter!" A tone of sarcasm traveled with her purr.

She raised a paw, stroking it with her rough tongue. She paused momentarily. Her tongue hanging out of her mouth as her head lifted.

A splash.

Without thought, the she cat crouched. Paws light as feathers while she stalked closer. Her heart rate raised with anticipation. Curlpaw dove into the water. Latching onto the fish with her jaws and claws. She paddled to the surface. Tossing the fish to the dirt. Her paw pinned the flopping splake to the floor. A few pants left her lungs.

She snapped back to her normal self. She gave Torrentpaw a bashful glance. She shook the water off and removed her hold on the fish. Allowing it to flop closer to the water. Curly returned to grooming her wet coat. Trying to block out the recent event.
